Commodity Leader

Responsibilities:
- Create and implement sourcing strategies for Hungary on assigned commodities. Focus on cost reduction, vendor rationalization, on-time delivery, and quality improvements
- Provide leadership, motivation, and training to Commodity Specialists. Ensure team alignment to support business development and sales growth
- Provide timely cost data to support sales proposals' deadlines
- Build strategic relationships with global suppliers through negotiations and agreements
- Support New Program Implementation
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Work with Sales Engineers and Business Development Managers to reduce product costs
- Manage complex supplier contracts
- Collaborate with the global Sourcing Team to maximize buying power
- Build strong partnerships through visits, conferences and trade shows
- Report results to the management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Procurement
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP and IF/THEN statements and building pivot tables
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Ability to collaborate with local leadership, sourcing specialists and commercial leaders to execute commodity strategy effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hungarian
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
