Java Backend Engineer
Backend Engineer (Java) – Build a Fintech Platform from the Core-
Our partner is a growing fintech company developing a security-focused digital investment platform. To support the expansion of their Budapest team, we are looking for Backend Engineers (Java) who want to have a real impact on a complex, business-critical system.
This is a backend-focused role, where you will work on building stable, scalable services while collaborating closely with other engineering teams.
What you’ll work on
- Designing and developing backend services using Java
- Building clean, reliable APIs that support seamless integrations
- Improving system performance, scalability, and stability
- Working closely with frontend developers to ensure smooth delivery
- Collaborating with product and QA teams throughout development cycles
- Supporting production readiness and working with infrastructure teams
- Contributing to a structured, quality-driven engineering environment
What we’re looking for
- At least 5 years of experience in backend development with Java
- Strong understanding of API design and service-based architectures
- Experience working in distributed or microservices systems
- A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback and code reviews
- Confident English communication skills
- Availability to work on-site in Budapest
Nice to have:
- Experience in fintech or other regulated environments
